Children are like blossoms that thrive when properly nurtured. At Tufanganj Rescue and Relief Foundation, we are committed to their growth through quality education and better health, which are the cornerstones of child development and their basic rights. Unfortunately, many children are deprived of these due to financial constraints. Our organization provides financial support for their education, healthcare, and essential needs. We also raise awareness and offer resources to ensure their sustained growth and brighter future.
Child Nutrition
Child nutrition is our primary focus, especially in rural marginalized areas where poor economic conditions lead to increasing malnutrition. To address this issue, we are dedicated to alleviating hunger by providing wholesome, nutritious meals to children in need. Our mission is to ensure that every child has access to proper nutrition, fostering their health and development for a brighter future.
Women Empowerment
Women’s empowerment is crucial for building a sustainable and progressive society. In the villages of Tufanganj, many women from downtrodden families face numerous challenges, including denial of education, domestic violence, and exploitation. To uplift them, we are dedicated to improving their lives by providing educational opportunities and skill development training. These initiatives enable them to earn independently, become financially stable, and lead self-reliant lives, fostering their confidence and overall well-being.
Agricultural Development
Agriculture is the backbone of our nation’s economy, yet farmers often face challenges like low productivity and poor yields. To support them, we raise awareness about modern farming techniques and the use of safe fertilizers. Additionally, we distribute organic fertilizers and manure to help them grow abundant, healthy crops. We mainly aim to empower farmers with knowledge and resources to enhance their productivity, improve their livelihoods, and contribute to building a healthier and more sustainable society.
Blanket Distribution
In marginalized areas of Cooch Behar, surviving during winter is a harsh challenge for the poor, especially those on roadsides, railway platforms, and without shelter. Kindness is a warm blanket for those who lack access to warmth. To ease their suffering, we organize blanket distribution programs, offering comfort and protection during the cold. Through this initiative, we aim to spread compassion, alleviate their hardships, and bring a sense of care and dignity to the less fortunate.
